One of Dubai’s biggest sports festivals is back…
Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s is one of the biggest events in the Sports and Social calendar this year whether you are a Rugby fan or not. This festival filled with music, sports, and entertainment is set to mesmerize Dubai residents in 2022 and tickets are now selling like hot cakes. More than 0.1 million spectators are expected to attend. The event will feature the world’s best rugby players.
The three-day event will return to The Sevens Stadium from December 1-3, 2022 (National Day weekend). HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series has been hosting the event since its inception in 1999.
Dubai Rugby 7s Event
Spectators and fans are looking forward to an enthralling holiday that would be featuring music and rugby on Pitch 1 and 2.
As per the event planners, three world-renowned superstar DJs are set to take part in the festival scheduled to happen on National Day Weekend. The festival will deliver an amplified experience in rugby 7s, 10s, netball, and cricket presented by Dulsco, featuring male and female participants from around 32 countries.
All about Tickets
A variety of ticket options are available, starting at AED375 and available to buy here. Register in advance to get your complimentary ticket for the opening day of the Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s on Thursday, December 1st.
Tickets to the huge events on Friday, December 2 are priced at AED400 and include entry to enjoy all the sports action, new experiences at the 2022 festival, and access to the after-party which will see an international headliner perform on the Frequency on 8 stages. Kids aged 12 and under can attend for free but must register in advance.
Finals day tickets for Saturday, December 3 are priced at AED375. You will also get to see who lifts the famous Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s trophy.
If you want to make sure you don’t miss a single minute of the action, on and off the pitch, you’ll need to get a ticket for the weekend. General admission tickets cost AED475, or you can get a reserved seat for AED575.
Simon Jelowitz, Head of Sports Operations of Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s said “At the Emirates 7s, we are incredibly proud to be one of the biggest and best Rugby 7s Tournament in the world. Now in our 52nd year.”
“The event has grown to become the largest sports and entertainment festival in the Middle East,” said Simon Jelowitz.
He said that each year, the festival delivers exciting sports, music, entertainment, food, and beverage options.

Apart from the quality game contests, the festival is all about cultural diversity and a rich global community.
The festival will deliver an amplified experience for all age groups as there are additional entertainment activities for children and young adults that attend in large numbers.
The officials said that apart from general admission, participants will surely be enjoying the new Hops & Food Market, the invitational team party tent, and a new stage called ‘The House’ alongside the rugby action on Pitch 1 and 2 and reserved seating.
There is also an inclusive fitness competition named WODON3, for fitness elites alongside rugby 7s, 10s, and netball.

The beautiful memories of the 2021 season rugby festival are already missed by the fans.
This event is not only known for hosting some of the best rugby players in the world, but also for its huge international performers (previous years have seen the likes of Disclosure, and Kylie Minogue taking to the stage), fabulous fancy dress, and brilliant pop-up food trucks and bars.
