Asia Cup’s grand super Sunday brought the world’s biggest cricket battle between arch-rivals Pakistan and India on August 28th at Dubai International Cricket Stadium—the same venue where Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets in World T20 last year.

India won the nail biting contest with star performance by all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Friendly gestures from Asia Cup 2022 were seen as Pakistan Cricket team skipper—top ranked batsman in T20Is and ODIs—Babar Azam and Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli meet during a practice session held in Dubai. Both shook hands and netizens went crazy and shared the picture widely on social media platforms.

Cricket stars Waseem Akram and Shahid Afridi had predicted that Pakistan would win the crucial game against the Indian side.

Waseem Akram was slightly worried about the middle order of the Pakistan side. Afridi said that the team that would make fewer mistakes and holds their nerves would win the game.

Cricket fever has taken over the subcontinent’s 2 billion population and cricket fans across the world are excited for the tournament.

Tickets for the Pakistan-India T20 match on Sunday sold out soon after they went on sale. Platinumlist, the official ticketing site said: “The first batch of tickets for India vs Pakistan match has been sold out.”

Pakistan batting coach Muhammad Yousuf advised the green shirts to focus on all their matches, do their best in every game, and not to overthink the match against India.

Pertinent to note that despite the extreme heat and pressure, both sides put maximum effort into the practice sessions and are eager to win the first bumper clash and one of the high-voltage matches of the Asia Cup 2022.

Rohit Sharma–XI has set the target to win the first battle against arch-rivals Pakistan cricket team on August 28.

Shane Watson’s Prediction about Pakistan-India Match

Former Australian cricketer Shane Watson talking to ‘The ICC Review‘ predicted India as the winner for Sunday’s clash between India and Pakistan.

Watson said that Pakistan cricket players are entering the Asia Cup 2022 with full belief now that they can beat this Indian team.

Sharma-XI has so much firepower all the way through their batting order, so it’s going to be hard to be able to contain them, commented the former Australian cricketer.

PCB sends another bowling coach ahead of the match

In a major development, Pakistan Cricket Board sent a bowling coach from its national high-performance center in Lahore to assist the team’s head bowling coach Shaun Tait in the Asia Cup.

Umar Rasheed has joined the Pakistan team on the recommendation of head coach, Saqlain Mushtaq.
