A women empowerment workshop on “Empowering Young Women for Better Future of Pakistan” was organized by the Department of Home Economics at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore on Wednesday.
Shaista Khawar, a renowned floral, landscape, and monument designer, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, VC of LCWU, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, attended the workshop.
Various Heads of the departments, faculty members, and students of Home Economics attended the event and appreciated the work of Shaista Khawar.
A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at the end to celebrate the diamond Jubilee of Pakistan. Students, staff, and faculty of the Home Economics Department also welcomed Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences to the department.
