Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) Monday took a major and dismissed 182 lecturers from service as per the proceedings under Peeda Act, on long absentee from duty.
HED said that 182 long-term absentees were dismissed.
Punjab HED Secretary Najaf Iqbal took action against the absentee lecturers under the Peeda Act and issued a notification of dismissal.
