She missed the red carpet, but Taylor made sure not to miss getting her hands on her awards. In simple words, Taylor Swift owned the night. Appearing in a gorgeous golden jumpsuit she took home 6 awards at the award show on Sunday, becoming the most awarded artist in AMA’s history. Swift has been nominated for the AMA’s top award nine times, winning in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

For the 2022 American music awards, Taylor was nominated for Pop Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Album, Favorite Female Pop Artist, Country Album of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and Favorite Female Country Artist.

Her album “RED” winning this award is a great deal for the 32-year-old artist as she has been working to create new versions of her past albums for quite some time now. “I cannot tell you how much my re-recorded albums mean to me, but I never expected or assumed they’d mean anything to you,” she said.

“In the past few years, I have released more music than I did in the entire decade preceding that,” the “Anti-Hero” singer said during her acceptance speech. “I really feel that’s down to the fact that you, the fans, made it clear that you wanted to hear lots of music that I would make — you encouraged me.”

Through her speech she was able to thank her fans for all the support and happiness that they gave her with her recent album she added that the more music she put out the happier she felt.

Swift accepted her awards just months after the release of her recent album “Midnight” which skyrocketed in the charts and swept all 10 top spots on the Billboard Hot 100.

Taylor’s Dress at the AMA’s 2022

Taylor’s dress took fans all the way back to her “bejeweled era” as the resemblance to her dress at the award show and in the Bejeweled music video is uncanny. Taylor was smart enough to reference her 2011 AMA dress through her sparkly gold outfit at the American Music award 2022. The stylist that gave Taylor her look at the award show was none other than Joseph Cassell Falconer and the style that they come up with perfectly aligned with her recent change in aesthetics. The cherry on top was her signature red lip that she sported with this look of hers.

All the awards she won:

  1. Artist of the year
  2. Favorite Music Video
  3. Favorite female pop artist
  4. Favorite pop album
  5. Favorite female country artist
  6. Favorite country album
