The Council of Islamic Ideology CII Chairman Dr Qibla Ayaz thanked Dr Babar Awan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs, and said that the Paigham-e-Pakistan conference’s message and statement were briefed in the Senate.
CII in ts special session on December 5 after the Sialkot tragedy, had denounced violence in all forms.
“The message unanimously adopted by the Pakistan Declaration endorsed by Parliament and appropriate legislation should be enacted in the light of this Declaration as and when required,” Dr Qibla said.
Dr. Qibla Ayaz today gave a detailed briefing to Mr. Babar Awan on the message of Pakistan Declaration and expressed his gratitude that formal steps have been taken for parliamentary support.
Dr. Qibla Ayaz hoped that through these measures a new and peaceful face of Pakistan would emerge and the misuse of the sacred name of religion and religion would be stopped.
He expressed his gratitude for the continuous consultation with the Council on legislative matters.
