Pakistan Army helicopter crashed in flood-hit Balochistan, 6 Army Personnel Martyred

A Pakistan Army aviation helicopter went missing in the Sassi Pano hills of Lasbela district in Balochistan later authorities found its wreckage in the same Lasbela hills.

Quetta Corps Commander and Commander 12 Corps Lt General Sarfraz Ali and five individuals including two high-profile army officers on board embraced martyrdom, said Pakistan Army’s media wing.

Balochistan Police, navy personnel, Frontier Constabulary (FC) and local administration on motorbikes have launched the risky search and rescue operation.

The helicopter went missing in the Sassi Pano hills in the Lasbela district of Balochistan.

The district was badly hit by floodwaters and the local administration along with Pakistan Army aviation helicopter were carrying out the rescue Op for stranded people also army jawans provided food and ration to the people in need

Balochistan government spokesperson Farah Azeem Shah said the helicopter carrying Commander XII Corps and other senior military officials left Balochistan’s Uthal area in Lasbela at 5:10 pm but didn’t land at its destination even after over six hours.

Lasbela to Karachi air route

The area where the army helicopter went missing was not far from Karachi as the aviation copter supposed to reach the Faisal Air Base in Karachi but it has not been over five years since the copter lost connection with the Air Tower Controller (ATC).
