The international DJ trio behind renowned songs like Don’t You Worry Child, Save the World, and Moth to a Flame also attended the event. The celebrity performances were restricted to invite-only guests.
Celebrities who attended the VIP event
Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z, along with her twins Rumi and Sir, her mother Tina Knowles Lawson, and her father Matthew Knowles attended the show.
Other popular celebrity guests included Chloe and Halle Bailey, Rebel Wilson, Nia Long, and Kendall Jenner, whose 818 Tequila brand held a soiree on Friday at the luxury resort’s Cloud 22 rooftop lounge. The spectacular night came to an end with an after-party from the Swedish House Mafia.
James von Klemperer
James von Klemperer is the president and design principal of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates was the architecture firm behind this extravagant project.
“We were asked to dream big on this project. To create something unique and iconic for Dubai – and when I look at it now, I’m amazed by the audacity of the whole undertaking,” he says.
“I’m bowled over by what’s been built, with its vertical piling up of outdoor experiences in the pools, outside spaces, and remarkable design features at every turn.” He adds, “The gardens in the sky, first imagined in sketches on paper, are now realized hundreds of feet above the ground.”
Tim Kelly is the managing director of Atlantis The Royal Dubai. Here is what he has to say about the opening in 2023:
“As these new images demonstrate, this is a resort like no other and the building itself will become an instantly recognizable icon of the Dubai skyline.”
