Samsung is unveiling the newest in its foldable lineup – Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 launch event today. The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2022 event will begin at 06:30 PM IST today, August 10. Samsung released a trailer a few days back and it contains glimpses of the new foldable phones for 2022.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Recap
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event announced two foldable smartphones, new smartwatches – Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, as well as an update to its Galaxy Buds Pro line.

Galaxy Z Flip 4
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is an update to Samsung’s flip phone lineup.
The Z Flip 4 is similar to its predecessor in looks and does flip like the old flip phones of the day, but it has a few new software tricks like selfie previews on the cover screen with the same aspect ratio as the image itself, and the new fast charging that powers up 50 percent battery in 30 minutes. The price of Galaxy Z flip 4 phones will start at $999 and these devices will be available starting 26th August.
Galaxy Z Fold 4
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 has better cameras and is not much different from its predecessor
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 isn’t much changed in terms of design although it’s slightly lighter than before and Samsung has made some big changes to the camera which now has a new 50-megapixel sensor. The price for this model starts at $1,799 and these phones will be available starting 26th August.
Galaxy Watch 5
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 comes with bigger and improved batteries
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4’s battery life wasn’t good, and Samsung is aiming to fix it with the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. The new smartwatches come with bigger and improved batteries. These also now have a body temperature sensor rumored to come in the new Apple watches this year. The Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro will be shipping starting 26th August.
Galaxy Earbuds 2 Pro
The Galaxy Buds 2 pro has a new design and supports Hi-Fi Audio but they are a bit more expensive than the previous model
The new design of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 pro is 15 percent smaller than the original pair and it now supports 24-bit hi-fi audio over Bluetooth. But these upgrades come at a higher price and the new buds now are priced at $229.99, a $30 increase from the original Galaxy Buds Pro. These will also be available starting 26th August.
Samsung’s newly announced products are environment friendly and use recycled materials
Samsung also discussed how their new products use recycled materials in their design. Samsung now repurposes fishing nets in the materials used to manufacture the Z-series foldables and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Samsung mentions it now incorporates recycled fishing nets into the design of 11 of its devices.
