LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday granted post-arrest bail to Maj (rtd), Sajid Hussain, in a case of killing a police constable Kamal in Model Town. The court ordered to release retired army officer on furnishing of a bail bond of Rs100,000.
The accused counselor argued that the case was for further investigation. He said the police had not submitted the challan of the case and the suspect could not be kept behind the bars due to the delay on part of the prosecution.
Sajid Hussain’s son Akrama Bokhari, also booked in the case, is still on judicial remand and has not approached the court for bail.
A police team had raided Model Town home of the suspects, who were workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), when they opened fire on the personnel leading to the instant death of Kamal.
