LAHORE: A local judicial magistrate allowed police to shift two predators to jail for identification parade in a case of sexual harassment of a girl who was riding a motorcycle-rickshaw (qingqi rickshaw) during the Independence Day celebrations near Minar-e-Pakistan.

The crime investigation agency (CIA) on Friday produced the accused before the magistrate and sought permission to shift them to jail for their identification.

The magistrate ordered to send the suspects to jail for six days and directed the police to conduct the identification parade under strict security.

The CIA had arrested the suspects from Sheikhupura and Jaranwala. It is alleged that the accused along with other accomplices had come to Lahore on the eve of Independence Day when they harassed a girl.

The suspects were identified through the video clips and the CCTV cameras of the safe city authority. The main accused could not be arrested so far.

The government had ordered the police to arrest the suspects after the video of the incident went viral through social media.
