FMCS faculty, students shine at UCP’s 24th convocation


University of Central Punjab’s 24th Convocation was held at Expo Center, Lahore, in a graceful ceremony. Ahmar Bilal Sufi. Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) graced the occasion as guest of Honour.

Prof. Sohail Afzal, Executive Director, Punjab Group of Colleges, was the Chief Guest.O

Other participants included esteemed VCs, many distinguished guests from the private and corporate sector, guests and parents and students.

As per statement issued by the UCP, 643 young graduates of eight faculties and associate degree programs received their degrees.

Roll of Honor was awarded to Eesha Raza. 73 Position holders were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

16 candidates received their PhD degrees.

Ms. Sumera Zaib won the award for the Best Teacher and Innovator while Ms. Muneeba Fatima Zehra was awarded the Best Teacher Award.


Ahmer Bilal Sufi, in his address, congratulated the students, their parents and teachers for these outstanding accomplishments.

He motivated the students to be responsible citizens and add value to whatever knowledge they had acquired.

FMCS awards 11 PhDs degrees

Faculty of Media and Mass Communication Studies (FMCS) conferred 11 Ph.D. degrees at 24th convocation of the UCP.

Faculty of Media senior lecturer Muniba Fatima Zehra was awarded the Best University Teacher of the Year.


FMCS BS (Honr) student Esha Raza was awarded the Roll of Honour by FMCS Dean Dr Taimur Rehman.

All the best graduates of UCP Faculty of Media BS Honors, MSc, M.Phil and PhD programs were awarded with degrees and awards.

Senior lecturer of FMCS Muneeba Fatima Zahra got Best Teacher of the Year Award.


As per press statement issued by the FMCS of UCP, in BS Honors: Nawal Fayyaz got first position, Uzair Majid and Aisha Raza got second position while Neha Khalil Khan got third position.

In MSc Mass Communication, Wajida Rahim got first position, Manahel Khawaja got second position and Mahim Waheed got third position.

In M.Phil, Hashim Ali took the first position.
