LAHORE: A special court (Control of Narcotics Substance) on Saturday postponed till March 12 the hearing of a drug recovery case against former law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan due to unavailability of the presiding judge of Rana Sana and his co-accused appeared before the court and the staff of the court marked their attendance and put of the hearing.During the previous two hearings in the case were also adjourned due to unavailability of the special prosecutor of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
The ANF had arrested Rana Sana on July 1, 2019 and claimed to have recovered 15-kg heroin from his vehicle.
The FIR was registered under section 9 (C) of Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997.Rana Sana was twice denied bail by the trial court and the Lahore High Court released him on Dec 24, 2019.
Rana Sana co-accused included Sibtain Haider, Usman Ahmad and Muhammad Akram.
