Lahore’s court want more proof to declare Meera’s nikahnama null and void

A session judge sought arguments on evidence of film actress Meera seeking directions to declare her nikahnama (marriage document) with a local businessman, Attiqur Rehman as null and void.

Meera personally appeared before the court on Wednesday and requested it to set aside a decision of a family judge and declare her nikahnama as fabricated.

Meera claimed that Attique prepared a forged nikahnama showing her as his wife only to grab her property. She said that she had never tied a marriage knot with Attoque and alleged that he (Attique) was blackmailing her by claiming to be her husband.

Meera during her submissions tried to make hue and cry, but the judge directed her to keep her voice low keeping in view the court decorum.

The judge postponed further hearing October 5 for further arguments.
