A judicial magistrate on Wednesday dismissed post-arrest application of four accused Usman, Irfan, Abdul Rehman and Sajid in sexual harassment case of a girl travelling in a motorcycle rickshaw during the Independence Day celebrations.
Lorry Adda police had had registered the FIR against 400 unidentified persons for assaulting the complainant, molesting, and stripping her clothes.
Sections 354-A (assault or use of criminal force against woman and stripping her of her clothes), 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to commit the theft), 147 (rioting), and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Pakistan Penal Code have been included in the FIR.
The CIA had arrested the suspects from Sheikhupura and Jaranwala. The suspects along with other accomplices had come to Lahore on the eve of Independence Day. However, the key suspect, who jumped onto the moving rickshaw and kissed the girl, is still at large.
