Court indicts 3 in alleged murder of British-Belgium girl in Lahore

An additional district & sessions judge on Tuesday indicted three perpetrators Zahir Jadoon, his brother Tahir Jadoon and Muhammad Waseem in the murder case of Mayra Zulfiqar, a British-Belgium young woman of Pakistani origin.

Judge directed the prosecution to produce its witnesses on September 22.

The accused pleaded not guilty and decided to contest the trial on murder charges.

Mayra, (25), was found shot dead at her rented house in the Defence area. She had arrived from the UK, where her family is settled some two months back before her murder.

Mayra was sharing the upper portion of the rented house with a friend, who was living in her adjoining room.

The police had already nominated Jadoon and other friends of Mayra in the FIR.
