Lhr court fixed Sept 7 for indictment of British national Mayra Zulfiqar’s killer


LAHORE: A sessions court fixed September 7 for the indictment of the suspects Zahir Jadoon and Waseem in the murder of Mayra Zulfiqar (25), a British-Belgium young woman of Pakistani origin.

Zahir Jadoon and Waseem are in judicial lockup, the court directed to produce both predators on the next hearing.

The court also declared another suspect Zeeshan Jadoon an absconder for avoiding his appearance.

On Tuesday, the prosecution handed over copies of the police investigation report to the suspects present before the court. Deceased Mayra, 25, was found shot dead at her rented house in the Defence area.

She had arrived from the UK, where her family is settled some two months back before her murder. Mayra was sharing the upper portion of the rented house with a friend, who was living in her adjoining room.


The police had already nominated Jadoon and other friends of Mayra in the FIR. Zeeshan, brother of Zahir, had obtained pre-arrest bail but later absconded.

Mayra Zulfiqar, 24, was found in a pool of blood in a flat May this year. Earlier, she had asked police for protection after accusing a man of abducting her at gunpoint.
