PPP concerns for Afghanistan minorities after Taliban capture Kabul

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the party expressed concern about Afghanistan’s developing situation and its implications for the women, men, and youth of Afghanistan.

ON MONDAY, the PPP CEC met in a meeting chaired by Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Zardari at Bilawal House, Karachi.

He said, “PPP further expressed its concern for the religious & ethnic minorities and vulnerable communities of Afghanistan.”

PPP also expressed concern for the potential challenges this could pose for peace, stability, and security of Pakistan as well as other countries in the region.

The Party reiterated its support for a democratic, inclusive, pluralistic Afghanistan where all citizens of Afghanistan are free to realise their full potential.

The high-level meeting of PPP met the very next day Kabul fell to Taliban without resistance from NDF and President Ashraf Ghani fled away from the country.
