PTI to contest local body polls with full preparations: Mahmood ur Rasheed

Provincial Minister for Local Government Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed said that the Punjab government has been improving the performance of local bodies institutions to uplift the people’s living standards. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, he visited different cities of the province to get awareness about people’s issues and problems.

PTI will participate in the local body elections, to be held in Punjab, in February, with full preparations. PTI has gained tremendous victory in recent elections of Azad Kashmir and by-elections. PTI will emerge as a leading political party after achieving great success in the upcoming local body, cantonment, and general elections.
These views were expressed by Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed while talking to media in Sialkot. Provincial Minister Ch. Muhammad Akhlaq, PTI leader Amir Dar, Ch Ghulam Abbas, and Barrister Jamshed Ghias were also present on the occasion.

Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s narrative and his cronies have been exposed and the people of Azad Kashmir and Central Punjab have rejected their treacherous agenda PML-N. He further maintained that recent failures and defeats have created rifts among them, affecting them in coming elections.
The minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced a composite development package for all districts of the province and the pace of work on these projects being carried out under the District Package Programme will be further accelerated.
