LWMC decides to pick city waste with own resources, saves Rs60m


The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) took decision to pick waste with its own resources to ensure smooth cleanliness operation in metropolis.

The company needed over 900 new vehicles for grand cleanliness operation and the procurement has also processed as per the PPRA rules.

As per the press statement released, the procurement committee of the LWMC Board ensured the timely bidding process and evaluation of the procurement as per the directions of Chairman Procurement Committee Barrister Amir Zafar and other members and saved nearly Rs59,160,701 million.

LWMC Chairman and Secretary LG and CD Noor-ul-Amin Mengal acknowledged commended efforts to save money from exchequer.


Noorul Amin said that the first lot of machinery will be delivered before Eid-ul-Azha and all the machinery and deployed accordingly.
