Amazon officially adds Pakistan to its sellers’ list

Amazon, the giant of the e-commerce platform worldwide, has formally added Pakistan to its approved sellers’ list. The development has given Pakistanis the access to the world’s biggest e-commerce market enabling them to sell their products and earn profit.

It is a big accomplishment for our e-commerce and will open up vast opportunities for a new breed of young entrepreneurs. We congratulate everyone involved,” tweeted Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment.

To be eligible to sell on Amazon, a person needs to be a resident of the approved countries, have a valid phone number, and an internationally chargeable credit card.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, “Pakistan has been added to Amazon’s Seller Registered Countries List, empowering our businesses to sell online. I commend the team of @PakinLosAngeles with support of @PakinUSA & Pakistan’s leadership for forging new areas & opportunities for Flag of Pakistan in the global business arena.”
