PTI, MQM hard-hitting contest for NA-249 last-place: Imran Khan ex-wife Reham Khan taunts

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan taunted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are striving hard to get the last position in the ongoing poll count of Karachi’s ‘mini Pakistan’ constituency NA-249.

In a tweet, she said, “A fierce competition continues between the MQM and PTI for the last position.”

The PML-N candidate Mifah Ismail is leading the results of NA 249 by-polls as the vote-counting is underway.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz tweeted: “Nassarm min Allah wa fathun qareeb (Help from Allah and a near victory).”

Allegedly, PPP supporters declare and celebrate victory in by-polls in NA-249, Karachi. Few face masks and no social distancing despite COVID-19 uptick in Sindh and elsewhere in the country.

There were 276 polling stations set up in NA 249 of which 67 were declared very sensitive. The number of polling booths is 796. The number of total registered voters in the constituency is 339,591. There are 210,056 male voters and female voters’ number is 137,935.
